Updates!
July 9, 2002
Hard to believe I've been doing this for over a year now, heck over two!
Just added a bit to the archive, trying to get it caught up. I keep trying to get the artwork up but it never looks quite right.
Finally learned to not bother scheduling anything; I rarely make my deadlines anyways. At least with the writing part.
Anywho, decided to do a zine. You can find info if you're interested at the Bumps in the Night page from the site map.
Added a link to my first K/S (that's Kirk/Spock) story, originally intended for the fuh-q-fest, but I missed the deadline by a couple of days, so it went into Side-by-Side 6. Some good stuff over there, don't miss it!
Working on Holes in the Firmament Part 12. Seriously working, not just dabbling.
I have this AU thing, Rampion. I think I'm going to start posting it to the site. Not in chapters though.
I really envy people who can write fast. Maybe I could get some stuff done. Too many ideas, not enough time (or motivation).
And while I'm in a ranting mood...
Y'know it's really great that everybody remembers the NY firefighters that died in the WTC disaster. There's even a computer game about it. Tacky, no?
But what have you heard about the police officers that died? The Port Authority officers? The civilians, except for the body count? On a personal note, the one Port Authority dispatcher still at his post when the building collapsed on him?
And speaking of dispatchers (oh, that was smooth), I'd like to point out that while we are public servants, we are not public slaves. And before anybody brings up the 'my taxes pay your salary' line, I'd like to know what taxes you pay that I don't? I pay Federal, State, County and City. I pay Social Security and Unemployment Insurance and Medi-cal. I pay Vehicle Registration, Luxury, and Sales Tax. I pay every single tax that everybody else pays, and depending on your state or country of residence sometimes more.
Bad day at work? How could you tell? (Me-owww! *grin*)
And mailing lists...
If you ask a question on a list, and somebody answers it quickly, does that mean that the answerer is shallow or facile? Not necessarily. Do you think you're the only person in the world with that question? Maybe the person who answers has already considered it, thought about it, turned it over to look at the other side, and is offering their conclusion for your consideration.
So geez, people! Lighten up! If your world is that miserable, maybe you should be getting some professional help instead of flaming people who accidentally crash your pity party because they thought you were actually asking a question instead of being rhetorical.
What-ever!
I think I'll go do something constructive now.
