In the corner, the jukebox spat sparks.
The deputy glanced longingly back at the exit, then
cautiously approached the solitary figure at the bar.
"I just need to verify the sequence of events here,
Mr. Spengler."
"It's Doctor Spengler."
"Yes, uh, Doctor. You turned your, er, particle thrower on your partner, Doctor
Venkman when he announced to the bar that he was in love with a waitress and
he didn't even know her name?"
"That is correct."
Fingers drumming idly on his thrower, Egon sipped his beer
and listened to Hank Williams wail about the evils of a cheatin' heart.
